The VECNPF National Innovation Awards, which highlighted and recognised the achievements of innovative teams in the VEC Sector, awarded the Student Support Section of County Donegal VEC with the Customer Service Innovation Award in December 2008. 
 

The award was formally presented at the VEC NPF Annual Conference in Limerick by:-  

• Rotimi Adebari, Major of Portlaoise
• Lucy Fallon-Byrne, Director of the National Centre for Partnership and Performance
• Feargal Quinn, Senator and founder of Superquinn
• Professor Peter Totterdill, internationally-renowned expert on workplace change and innovation.
• Shaun Payne, Rugby star.
• Kenny Egan, Olympian Boxer
